About the Scholarship
The high school senior or undergraduate degree students who have clinically significant bilateral hearing loss are offered financial assistance by the Sertoma organization in order to support and encourage the students to attain a postsecondary education.
The Sertoma Hard of Hearing or Deaf Scholarship is awarded to students who are pursuing a bachelor’s degree as full-time with a bilateral hearing loss of minimum 40dB.

The number of awards and the scholarship amount available to the recipients of the scholarship may differ based on the funding received by the organization and the number of applicants.
The scholarship amount can be used to fund the tuition and fees, books and supplies and other college costs.
Sertoma Hard of Hearing or Deaf Scholarship Application
The scholarship program is awarded to students based on the eligibility criteria set by the scholarships committee of the organization.
The application must be inclusive of all the required materials such as follows:
A statement of purpose.
Two letters of recommendation.
Documentation of hearing impairment in an audiogram form taken recently or a statement by hearing-health professional that is duly signed.
The application form available on the official website of the organization must be filled with accurate details.
Sertoma Hard of Hearing or Deaf Scholarship Application Deadline
The applications and required documents must be submitted to the scholarship committee by 1st May without fail. Any applications received past the deadline will be considered invalid.
The student with a clinically significant bilateral hearing loss can apply for the scholarship.
The applicant must be a high school graduate.
The applicant must be a 4-year degree undergraduate student in the eligible discipline.
