About the Scholarship

The Sheep Heritage Foundation Memorial Scholarship was established by the American Sheep Industry Association. The scholarship opportunity is applicable for sheep-related graduate studies of the advancement of the sheep industry, lamb and wool.

The financial support is given to a student of a graduate-level of MS or Ph.D. who is attending a school in the U.S. and he/she must be a graduate student involved in sheep and/or wool research in areas such as animal science, agriculture economics or veterinary medicine.


How to Apply for Scholarship?

  • In order to apply for this scholarship award, applicants must complete an online application which is available on the scholarship provider website. Applicants must provide this application form before the mentioned deadline.

  • All the recipients who are applying for this award must submit two letters of reference from their faculty members.

  • Candidates are also required to give proof of acceptance to graduate school.

  • Additionally, applicants must write an essay on the topic given by the financial aid department.


Award Amount and Deadline Information

The scholarship award amounts to $3,000 to the number of qualified graduate students per academic year.

Students are advised to send all their documents and application forms no later than May 31, 2020, to be eligible for the scholarship.


Eligibility Criteria

  • The applicant must be a graduate student enrolled in a college in the U.S.

  • A student must be a legally recognized citizen of the United States to be eligible for the scholarship.
  • An applicant must be pursuing sheep-related graduate studies.
