About the Scholarship
NCJW-LA’s Scholarship Program provides financial assistance to students who reside and study in a Greater Los Angeles area. The organization is proud to make an impact in their community by supporting Angelenos in their pursuit of financial assistance for an applicant's higher education. Applicants of all backgrounds are encouraged to apply for this award. Applicants must be a K-12 educator pursuing a multiple or single subject Teaching Credential (includes special education and ESL). The applicant must be enrolled at a University of California or California State University campus in the greater Los Angeles area.
How to Apply for Scholarship?
The scholarship applications are available online from the National Council of Jewish Women - Los Angeles Chapter website. The applicants must complete the online application form in order to receive this fund.
In addition to that, an applicant must provide two recommendation letters from a faculty member and also applicants are required to submit a personal statement which must be of one to two pages in length.
Also, applicants must submit official transcripts of the school where he/she has studied in. In addition to that, he/she must give current enrollment verification from their institution.
An applicant must give a resume also in order to apply for this award.
Award Amount and Deadline:
The award amount is $2000 given to two selected candidates and the award is non-renewable.
All applicants must submit their official transcripts and online application before 1st November 2019.
Applicants must live and attend school in the greater Los Angeles area including Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside and Ventura counties.
Applicants must be a K-12 educator seeking a single or multiple-subject credential including special education and ESL.
Students must be enrolled at a California State University or University of California campus in the greater Los Angeles area.
