About the Scholarship
In order to improve the education of the students of the state of South Carolina pursuing a teaching career and help they develop community service and leadership qualities, the Centre for Educator Recruitment Retention, and Advancement (CERRA) organization provides the South Carolina Teaching Fellowship program.
The students who are selected for the educational program are offered financial support while pursuing postsecondary education to eventually become a teacher.
South Carolina Teaching Fellows Awards
Around 200 high school students are selected as recipients of the assistance program worth $6000 per year for up to four years.
The applicants must be attending a high school in the state of South Carolina and intending to pursue postsecondary education leading to the teaching profession with academic achievements and participation in community service.
South Carolina Teaching Fellows Application
The applicants are selected based on certain eligibility criteria put forth by the organization proving the financial aid program.
The applicant must submit the completed application form, which is available on the official website of the organization, with accurate details. The application must include the following documents as well:
High school transcript.
Two reference letters.
The application process must be completed via the application portal Kaleidoscope available on the official website.
South Carolina Teaching Fellows Application Deadline
The application must be completed and submitted to the organization by 1st December without fail. Any application received past the deadline is considered invalid.
The applicant must be a U.S. citizen or an eligible noncitizen.
The applicant must be a South Carolina resident.
The student must be a high school graduate.
