About the Scholarship
Students of the Year is a philanthropic leadership development program available for exemplary high school students. During the application of this scholarship award, the participants must show professional skills such as entrepreneurship, marketing, and project management in order to raise funds for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS).
The title Student of the Year will be awarded to the candidate or co-candidates in each community who raises the most funds during the competition. Students of the Year candidates are high school students who are interested in and enthusiastic about volunteerism, philanthropy, and community engagement.
In order to receive this scholarship award amount, a must complete and submit the scholarship application form and FAFSA to the financial aid department of the organization.
In addition to that, you are also required to submit the official high school transcript where you are currently studying to prove your excellence in academics.
Additionally, you also must type an essay on the question listed by financial aid and send it before the deadline.
Award Amount and Deadline
The organization awards scholarship that amounts to $2500 to one deserving applicant annually.
The deadline for submission of all the above-mentioned documents is set on 15th November 2019. All applicants are advised to keep track of the deadline and submit their records before the deadline.
A student must be a permanent citizen of the U.S.
An applicant must be a high school sophomore or junior.
To be eligible to avail the scholarship benefits, candidates must be enrolled in the Austin area public or private school.
The applicant must be interested in and enthusiastic about leadership, volunteerism, philanthropy, and involved in community services.
