About the Scholarship

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Students of the Year is an exciting leadership development and philanthropy program in which high school students participate in a fundraising competition to benefit LLS. For motivated high school students, this program helps to stand out among their peers when engaging with colleges or future employers. Through guidance and mentoring from experienced professionals at LLS, they will make a real impact in the fight against blood cancers. 

To boost college applications with leadership and philanthropic adventure. Candidates have the opportunity to build their college resume, fulfill service learning requirements and learn valuable leadership and life skills.


How to Apply?

  • In order to receive this scholarship award amount, you must complete and submit the scholarship application form to the financial aid department.

  • In addition to that, you are also required to submit the official high school transcript where you are currently studying.

  • Additionally, you must type an essay on the question listed by financial aid. 

  • A student must also demonstrate volunteerism, philanthropy, community outreach, and leadership.

Award Amount and Deadline:

The scholarship award amount is $2500 available to one qualified applicant annually.

The deadline for this scholarship application is 15th November 2019.


Eligibility Criteria

  • The award is available to high schools students who participate in a fundraising competition to benefit LLS.

  • The applicant/team who raise the most money in 7 weeks earn the award and the title Student of the Year.
