About the Scholarship

Southern Scholarship Foundation Award is accredited by Southern Scholarship Foundation, Inc. The foundation has been granting financial needs for almost 60 years. The scholarship program was started to reduce the financial burden of college SSF offers one simple and unique solution which is rent-free housing and cooperative living. The main aim of this program is to facilitate financial aid to those students who show excellent academic achievements and exemplify good character and plans to attend institutions for higher education. The grant proving program focuses on giving education for life rather than just a scholarship.


Basic requirements needed to apply for this scholarship?

  • The student has to complete Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to be able to apply or receive these financial aids.

  • Students must submit the letter of recommendation with the application based on the character.

  • Students must have planned to attain one of the seven partnered universities, Florida Gulf Coast University, University of Florida, Santa Fe College, Tallahassee Community College, Florida A&M University, Florida State University, or Flagler College – Tallahassee

 

Southern Scholarship Foundation award amounts to

  • This scholarship program provides $5000 annually which is paid directly to their respective housings or universities and not in cash.

  • The awards are renewable for up to 3 additional years based on the students maintaining their minimum GPA.

  • A total of 80 to 100 awards are offered annually by this scholarship program.

 

Deadline information

The applications are to be submitted by the end of November 01, 2020. Applicants must submit their applications and other required applications by the end of the due date.


Eligibility Criteria

  • The Southern Scholarship Foundation (SSF) is a self-help program that provides rent-free housing for college students.

  • The applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA.

  • An applicant has to demonstrate financial need.
