About the Scholarship

This award is awarded by the National Council of Jewish Women - Los Angeles Section (NCJW/LA) for the benefit of women, children and family. This was started in 1990 for student and women to be self-sufficient. It started in Los Angeles for the first time.

How to apply for this scholarship?

Student can apply online, and this application will be available on the National Council of Jewish Women - Los Angeles Chapter website. Student can apply application for this scholarship from February 1 to May 1 and from August 1 to November 1. Students who are applying for this scholarship should have to submit two letters of recommendation, from teachers and/or employers; a personal statement of one to two pages in length; school transcripts; and current enrollment verification from his/ her institution. Should submit their FAFSA certificate.

Amount of the scholarship:

This award is given by the organization the National Council of Jewish Women - Los Angeles Section (NCJW/LA).

This scholarship is non-renewable and the amount is $1000 per year. A student can apply twice for this scholarship and will get a scholarship based on his/her career in film, television, or theatre production.

Deadline for the Scholarship:

Deadline for this Scholarship is November 1.


Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidate should be an outstanding undergraduate student from Eastern Kentucky, with a major in the business field. 
  • Candidate should be attending a 4 year the accredited institution in Kentucky.
