About the Scholarship

This award is started by the National Council of Jewish Women - Los Angeles Section (NCJW/LA) in the year 1990, for the benefit of women, children, and families to be self-sufficient. The Stephen L. Keller Scholarship is to award outstanding students from Eastern Kentucky who intend to major in a business-related field. The student must attend an accredited 4-year educational institution in Kentucky in order to receive this fund. Graduating high school seniors and current undergraduate students are eligible to apply for this scholarship.


How to apply for this scholarship?

  • Students can apply online, and this application will be available on the National Council of Jewish Women - Los Angeles Chapter website.

  • An applicant should submit their FAFSA certificate to demonstrate financial assistance.

  • The candidates who are applying for this scholarship should have to submit two letters of recommendation, from teachers and/or employers.

  • A personal statement must be given in one to two pages of length.

  • A student must also submit school transcripts and current enrollment verification from his/ her institution. 


Award Amount:

This scholarship is non-renewable and the amount is $2000 per year. A student can apply twice for this scholarship and will get a scholarship based on his/her career in film, television, or theatre production.


Deadline for the Scholarship:

The deadline for this Scholarship is November 1. The official transcripts and scholarship application form must be postmarked before the deadline date.

 


Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidate should be an outstanding undergraduate student from Eastern Kentucky, with a major in the business field. 

  • Candidate should be attending a 4 year the accredited institution in Kentucky.
