About the Scholarship
The scholarship is awarded by the Society of Women Engineers, a nonprofit organization that gives women engineers a voice within the engineering industry. They've set their mission to empower women to achieve full potential in careers as engineers and leaders and to demonstrate the value of diversity and inclusion. The applicant of this grant must enroll or plan to enroll in a program accredited by ABET.
How to apply for the scholarship?
The applicant should complete the application which can be found on the Society of Women Engineers site.
The applicant will be considered for all eligible scholarships with one application.
Along with the application, the applicant should also submit official academic transcripts, letter of acceptance to an ABET-accredited college or university (if first-year or transfer student), a resume, two recommendation letters, and FAFSA.
How much the scholarship award amounts to?
The award amounts to $1500 yearly and is non-renewable.
One award is offered per year.
The deadline date is set for February 15
The recipient must be an SWE member.
A student must be Sophomore, Junior, Senior, or Graduate.
A student should study at colleges and universities with an active SWE section within Kentucky, Ohio, West Virginia, and the western half of Pennsylvania.
