About the Scholarship
Accelerating a Generation Syngenta Scholarship awards the students who currently pursuing bachelor's or master's degrees in crop-related disciplines. The Syngenta Accelerating a Generation Scholarship Student Video Contest (“Contest”) is a skill Contest open to students pursuing bachelor’s degrees and master’s degrees in crop-related disciplines including but not limited to agronomy and crop & soil science. In order to be the eligible applicant for this scholarship, you must enroll in agriculture programs in the United States, American Samoa, Guam, Puerto Rico or the U.S. Virgin Islands.
How to Apply for Scholarship?
To apply for this scholarship, All entrants submit one original video which is a minimum of 2 minutes and a maximum of 5 minutes in duration addressing the assigned topic.
Entries are to be submitted in one of the two judging categories (bachelor’s or master’s), depending on a student’s status at the time of entry. Multiple entries are not permitted.
Also, you need to demonstrate academic performance by submitting the scorecards of the ACT or SAT.
In addition, students are ineligible for the Contest if they fail to comply with the requirements set forth herein or they have been convicted of a crime other than a routine traffic violation or have such criminal charges pending against him/her or they are subject to a restraining order.
Award Amount and Deadline:
The Syngenta Agricultural Scholarship award amount to $20000.
All applicants must apply for this scholarship no later than 15th January 2020. All documents and the official transcripts must be postmarked before the last date.
Candidates currently pursuing bachelor's or master's degrees in crop-related disciplines are eligible
Candidates are required to submit a 750- to 1,000-word essay in response to the following topic: "Tell us the unique story of how you became #RootedinAg and how you plan to be the branches that reach new heights to benefit today's and tomorrow's world."
