About the Scholarship

Texas Gulf Coast Students of the Year is an exciting leadership development and philanthropy program in which high school students participate in this scholarship competition to get benefitted out of this funding opportunity. For motivated high school students, this program ensures that they stand out among their peers when engaging with colleges and/or future employers. Through guidance and mentoring from experienced professionals at LLS, they will make a real impact in the fight against blood cancers.


How to Apply for the Scholarship?

  • Applications are available on the scholarship provider website. An applicant must visit the official website to complete the online application form in order to receive this fund.

  • The online scholarship form contains general information about the student. A student needs to fill up all the details for the award.

  • A student must write an essay on the topic which is listed in the application form.

  • In addition to that, a candidate must provide official transcripts of the current high school.


Award Amount and Deadline:

The scholarship award amount is $2500 applicable to all scholarship eligible candidates.

According to the previous year's deadline information it was on 28th October 2018. For the current year deadline information applicants must contact the scholarship provider website.


Eligibility Criteria

  • Student or team of students who raise the maximum money for the duration of seven-week competition earns "Student of the year " and a scholarship of $2500 for the institute/college of his choice.

  • Students of the Year candidates must be high school students.

  • Applicants must be interested in and enthusiastic about volunteerism, philanthropy, and community engagement.
