About the Scholarship

The Francis Ouimet Scholarship Fund was built up in 1949. The association is considered as The Golf Charity of Massachusetts, the establishment helps meriting youngsters and ladies, who have worked at golf courses in Massachusetts, get a school instruction by giving grants and budgetary help.


What are the basic requirements needed while applying for this scholarship?

  • The applicants must submit their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application to receive this award.

  • All Ouimet Scholarship candidates must have performed 2+ years of service to golf as caddies, or in golf professional or course superintendent operations at any golf course in Massachusetts.

  • The candidate must also plan to attend an accredited institution of undergraduate higher education full-time.

  • Applicants must have been completed their CSS/PROFILE while applying for this grant.

  • This scholarship award ranges from $25000 to $60000 ehich is renewable.

  • The total number of awards offered by this scholarship varies depending on the students maintaining their academic progress and availability of funds.

The applications are available online on The Francis Ouimet Scholarship Fund website and all the students are informed to submit their scholarship application and required application before the deadline. The due date for the applications is by the end of December 01, 2020.


Eligibility Criteria

  • The applicant must have been course superintendent operations at a club in Massachusetts, helpers in the pro shop or golf as caddies for at least 2 years.

  • The applicant should demonstrate financial need.

  • The applicant should be excellent in academics.
