About the Scholarship

The Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago Academic Scholarship

This scholarship provided by the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago to help Jewish college. Help is accessible for those with financial need who are seeking a career  in the helping professions. Grants go from $1,000 to $8,000.


Applicants apply for these programs - Business, communication, Law and many more.

Every year the institute collects $500,000 and provides scholarship to those students who are not financially strong and cannot pursue high education.

If students will not meet with other requirements of scholarship, institute provide award based on the financial need,

Candidates must submit the recommendation letter.


Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidate must be a Jewish.

  • Candidate should be from Chicago for one complete year continuously a fulltime employment in Chicago metropolitan area after completing school or candidate should be born in Chicago and raised from the metropolitan area or Lake County, Indiana.

  • candidate should be displaying career promises and financial need.

  • Candidate should be available for a full-time basis for a full academic year who are entering juniors or seniors years of accredited bachelors degree program.

  • Candidate should be available for in-person interview on said date.

  • Candidate should be willing to stay back in Chicago after completion of school.
