About the Scholarship

The Kim and Harold Louie Family Foundation started this scholarship based on the financial resources and the academic study of the scholarship recipients. This scholarship benefits high school seniors and students who will be attending a college or university in the U.S as a freshman. Applicants must demonstrate outstanding personal achievements, academic results, leadership qualities and community service.


How to Apply for Scholarship?

  • In order to apply for this scholarship, a student needs to fill and submit the scholarship application form, which is available on the official website.

  • An applicant must have at least two reference letters, one of which must be from a current teacher in an academic subject.

  • An applicant must submit an essay within 300-500 words on the topic given by financial aid.

  • A student should provide a copy of the acceptance letter from the college or university where he/she is studying in.

  • In addition to that, an applicant must provide ACT/SAT scorecards to determine their GPA score.

  • A student should fill and submit the FAFSA application form to demonstrate the financial status of his/her family.


Award Amount and Deadline:

The Organization is funding $25000 to ten applicants annually.

The deadline for this scholarship is 31st March 2019.


Eligibility Criteria

  • The applicant must be enrolled in an educational institution in the U.S.

  • The applicant must be enrolled in an accredited university or college or a vocational or technical school for postsecondary education.

  • The applicant must have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or better.

  • The applicant must have good academic standing and a score of 1300 of the SAT test.
