About the Scholarship

The Korean Ancestry Grant is awarded by The Dingwall Foundation. the foundation was established by Dr. William Orr Dingwall to support students in their pursuit of undergraduate and post-graduate degrees in a variety of fields.


How to apply for this scholarship?

  • The students must submit a statement of 1000 words or less describing their support.

  • Applicants must provide Two or three letters of recommendation from professors/teachers who know the applicant well and can provide significant insight into the applicant’s academic strengths and weaknesses.

  • A current official transcripts that show applicants academic progress.

  • An academic resume/CV must have been submitted.

  • The candidates are educated to present their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application to get this award.


The Korean Ancestry Grant award amounts to

  • This scholarship provides $10000 each year which is non-renewable.

  • A total of 7 scholarships are awarded each year based on the students meeting their requirements.


Deadline info

The applications are to be presented before the end of April 15, 2020. Understudies are informed to present their grant application, and other requirements are to be submitted before the due date. Applications and other data are accessible online on The Dingwall Foundation website.


Eligibility Criteria

  • The applicant must be of Asian ancestry, with at least one Asian grandparent, preferably Korean ancestry.

  • The applicant must have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher.

  • The applicant must be an undergraduate student.

  • The applicant must submit all the required documents as per stated by the provider in order to receive the aid.
