About the Scholarship
The Unitarian University Association has found Lucille K. and Jerome P. Gallon Scholarship fund to support the candidates for Unitarian Universalist ministry. This scholarship is awarded to individuals who have demonstrated strong preaching skills during their path to ministry. The priority is given to those individuals who have demonstrated outstanding ministerial ability and secondarily to the students with the greatest financial need, especially persons of color.
How to Apply for this Scholarship?
The scholarship applications are available on the official website. Every applicant is required to fill and submit the application form in order to apply for this award.
The students who have greater financial need are required to demonstrate his/her family's financial position.
A student should also demonstrate their outstanding preaching ability in order to receive this fund.
A candidate must provide his/her institution's transcript where he/she is studying in.
Award Amount and Deadline:
The scholarship award amount varies to the number of applicants as per the funding amount available.
The scholarship deadline is fixed on April 15th. All applicants are required to submit the application form and all official transcripts on or before the given date.
The applicant must have showcased remarkable preaching skills during the path to ministry.
The applicant must be enrolled in a Masters of Divinity degree program leading to fellowship as a Unitarian Universalist (UU) minister as a half-time student at least.
