About the Scholarship
Tom E. Halley & Carl W. Parks Memorial Scholarship is accredited and is sponsored by the Pinellas Education Foundation. Tom E. Halley & Carl W. Parks Memorial Scholarship is sponsored in memory of Tom E. Halley and Carl W. Parks to financially assist a student in obtaining a post-secondary education without any financial burden.
How to apply for this scholarship?
Students applying for this scholarship must first complete their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application to determine how much a student or their parents are able to pay for the education.
The students must demonstrate involvement and participation in community service.
Candidates must demonstrate a need for financial assistance as detailed in the Student Aid Report.
An applicant must submit all their official transcripts to the financial aid department to be eligible for the scholarship.
This scholarship provides $1000 annually and is nonrenewable.
The total number of awards offered by this scholarship is limited to one candidate each year.
All the necessary documents must be submitted to the financial aid department no later than January 15, 2020. All students are informed to submit their scholarship application and required applications before the due date to meet eligibility. Applications and other related information are available on the Pinellas Education Foundation website.
A scholarship is provided to students who demonstrate good academic performance and community involvement.
An applicant must have earned a grade point average of 2 out of 4 to be eligible for the scholarship.
Selection is primarily based on demonstration of community service & involvement, extracurricular involvement and employment history.
