About the Scholarship
TRTF Beginning Teacher Scholarship is authorized and is produced by the Texas Retired Teachers Foundation (TRTF). The foundation is a non-profit organization that was started in the year 1988. Since then, the foundation is dedicated to helping active and retired educators with their financial needs.
The Beginning Teacher Scholarship helps applicants for certification tests and test results and provides funds to help the applicant purchase materials for his or her classroom during his or her first year of teaching.
What is the application procedure?
The candidate must have scheduled to take the Texas teacher certification exam.
Applicants must submit their current official transcripts and application before the due date and prove their excellence in academics.
The understudies applying for this award must present a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application form to determine what scholarship amount they are eligible for.
Scholarship Award Amount
This scholarship provides $750 to candidates who are relatives of an active member of the Texas Retired Teachers Association (TRTA).
A total of 20 awards are offered by this scholarship each year based on the students meeting their requirements.
The applications are to be presented to the concerned department on or before the end of February 28, 2020. Understudies are informed to present their grant application, and other requirements are to be submitted before the due date. Any applications submitted post deadline will be rejected.
An applicant must have taken or be scheduled to take the Texas teacher certification exam.
A student must be a relative of an active member of the TRTA (Texas Retired Teachers Association).
Candidates must have a degree in Education and teacher's certification by August.
