About the Scholarship

Trythall Family Scholarship for Excellence in Continuing Education Fund is accredited by the Albuquerque Community Foundation. The foundation was started in the year 1914 as a non-profit organization to represent the public interest and for their knowledge of the community.

Trythall Family Scholarship for Excellence in Continuing Education Fund was established in the year in 1989 to assist these individuals in the pursuit of excellence while maintaining a career. The scholarship is to assist older, non-traditional students who have taken the initiative to reach for a goal.


How to apply for this scholarship?

  • The applicants must provide their current official transcripts.

  • A resume is to be submitted including if applicable volunteer and community service.

  • Candidates must demonstrate financial need, personal and professional goals.

  • A letter of recommendation from a current employer is to be submitted while applying for this grant.

  • The understudies applying for this award must present a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application.


Trythall Family Scholarship for Excellence in Continuing Education Fund award amounts to

  • This scholarship amount ranges from $1000 to $3000 each year which is non-renewable by the previous recipient may reapply the following year.

  • The total number of awards offered by this scholarship is limited to 4 candidates each year based on the students meeting their requirements.


Deadline info

The applications are to be presented before the end of June 07, 2020. Understudies are informed to present their grant application, and other requirements are to be submitted before the due date. Applications and other data are accessible online on the Albuquerque Community Foundation website.


Eligibility Criteria

  • The applicant must be pursuing an Undergraduate degree in an accredited college.

  • Must be at least 25 years of age.

  • Minimum GPA of 2.8 and must demonstrate financial need.
