Transfer Scholarships are a type of financial rewards offered to help college students who transfer from one college to another for certain reasons. According to the National Student Clearinghouse Research Center, more than one-third of college students transfer to another college. Some students may be transferring from one four year college to another. Other students may be transferring from a two-year college to a four-year college.

There are some basic eligibility criteria that one needs to fulfill in order to be eligible for a transfer scholarship. One must be a U.S. citizen.
One must have completed two years (4 semesters) of full-time college coursework at another institution.
One must have a minimum GPA of 2.0
One must fulfill Criteria for transfer admission along with specific course requirements through successful completion of the required coursework is not a guarantee of admission.
One must have completed prerequisite coursework with a grade of C (2.0) or better.
GPA requirements vary across academic colleges; some academic colleges may have higher GPA requirements.
