About the Scholarship

The "UNF R. Ernest and Deon Ferrell Scholarship" award is awarded by the organization 'University of North Florida (UNF)'. This scholarship assists and supports the eligible needy students for making their career as a fresher man and the major should be of pre-med or health-related majors.


How to apply for the scholarship?

    • Applications are available on the official website 'University of North Florida (UNF)' and all the applicants must access the online application in order to apply for this scholarship.

    • The applicant has to submit one application and a resume.

    • Applicant must have to submit FAFSA certificate.

    • A student must submit the Official scorecards of ACT/SAT to demonstrate the completion of the graduation semester as well as academic performance.

    • A student must also submit two recommendation letters from a teacher, employer, counsellor.

    • A student has to submit 

    • In addition to that applicant must write and submit a page essay on personal statement addressing the topics listed on the UNF website.

    • All the above documents along with scholarship application should be submitted before the deadline.


      The awarded amount for the scholarship:

      The amount awarded for this scholarship is$2,000 per year and is renewable upto three additional years. The number of awards given to the eligible applicants varies depends on the number of applied eligible students and the availability of the fund amount.


       Deadline for the scholarship:

      The deadline for the scholarship is the 15h of October.

Eligibility Criteria

The applicant must reside in the U.S.

He/she must live in Florida and must be a full-timer at Florida college or university.

His/her major should be in major in pre-med or health-related majors.

The test score of the SAT should be 1200 or higher and the ACT score should be 27.

He/she should be a graduate from Andrew Jackson High School (AJHS) in Jacksonville, Florida.

He/she must be an incoming first-time-in-college freshman.

His/her grade point must be an average of 3.0 or higher.

He/she should have to complete a graduate from the University of North Florida.
