About the Scholarship

The purpose of the Norman Topping Student Aid Fund (NTSAF) is to assist low-income college students who demonstrate community awareness in their pursuit of higher education at the University of Southern California. First-generation college students and local area applicants are given primary consideration in the scholarship selection process. 


How to Apply for Scholarship?

  • Applications are available online at the Norman Topping Student Aid Fund website.

  • In addition to the completed application form, the applicants must include an autobiography, not exceeding three typewritten pages, which should include descriptions and explanations of the applicant's experiences in relation to the program's selection criteria.

  • And two letters of recommendation from professionals who are not related to the applicant that addresses his/her financial need, first-generation status, community awareness, volunteer efforts, and any extraordinary circumstances. 


Award Amount and Deadline:

The scholarship award amounts to $10000 available to many applicants per academic year.

The deadline date for this scholarship is on 1st March 2020. Hence all applicants must submit the official transcripts on or before the given deadline date.


Eligibility Criteria

  • A recipient must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident.

  • A candidate must be an incoming freshman.

  • A candidate must be planning to attend the University of Southern California.

  • A recipient must be planning to enroll full time.

  • An applicant must have unmet financial need.
