About the Scholarship
The high school graduates of the state of West Virginia who has good academic standing receive the West Virginia PROMISE Scholarships programs based on their merit and participation in community service.
The College Foundation of West Virginia provides financial assistance to the students of the state who graduated high school and are pursuing undergraduate degree programs at an eligible university or college of the state of West Virginia.
West Virginia PROMISE Scholarships Awards
The scholarship amount sums up to $4750 which can be utilized to pay the tuition and fees and other college costs.
The number of awards available to students may vary every year depending on the funding received from the West Virginia State Legislature.
West Virginia PROMISE Scholarships Application
The students are awarded scholarship programs based on the eligibility criteria set by the organization.
The application may include the following important documents:
The completed FAFSA of the student.
The completed application form which is available on the official website of the organization.
The applicants must follow the guidelines given by the committee.
West Virginia PROMISE Scholarships Application Deadline
The application must be completed and submitted to the scholarship committee of the organization before March 1st. Any application received past the deadline will not be considered.
The student and parents must be residing in West Virginia since one year prior to the application date.
The student must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or more.
The student should have a composite ACT score of 22 with a minimum of 20 in English, Reading, Science, and Mathematics.
The student should have scored 1100 in SAT.
