About the Scholarship

The Western Colorado Horticultural Society (WCHS) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the future development of agriculture in Western Colorado through the association and combined efforts of its members.

The Western Colorado Horticultural Society provides scholarships to a deserving student from Western Colorado who is interested in pursuing a career in a horticulture-related industry.


How to apply for this scholarship?

  • Students must submit a current official transcript with each application.

  • A letter of recommendation from teachers, facility advisors, or current employers may also be submitted for consideration.

  • The candidates are educated to present their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application to get this award.


The Western Colorado Horticultural Society award amounts to

  • This scholarship provides $1000 annually, which is non-renewable.

  • The total number of awards offered by this scholarship is limited to one candidate each year depending on the students meeting their requirements.


Deadline info

The applications are to be presented before the end of April 15, 2020. Understudies are informed to present their grant application, and other requirements are to be submitted before the due date. Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidate should be either pursuing a horticulture-related degree or certification program from an accredited university or college or already a graduated degree holder in the same.

  • candidate should be a permanent Colorado resident.
