About the Scholarship

The Wisconsin Higher Education Grant is awarded to the residents of Wisconsin, who is enrolled at least half-time in an undergraduate degree or certificate programs at the University of Wisconsin,  Wisconsin Technical College, and Tribal institutions/college. A student who demonstrates high financial need will get this scholarship opportunity. Awards are given based on the amount of funding available. The scholarship award is available for the student only up to 10 semesters.

In order to apply for this grant, an applicant must fill and submit a FAFSA application form to become eligible for financial assistance.


Award Amount and Deadline:

The award amount ranges between $250 to $3,150 to the students based on the funding available.

Eligibility Criteria

  • A student must be a resident of the state of Wisconsin.

  • The recipient must be at least 18 years of age.

  • A student must be an entering freshman.

  • Student's High school GPA must be between 3.5 and 4.0

  • Student's Minimum ACT composite test score must be of 25, or 1500 for SAT
