About the Scholarship
The Women's Western Golf Association's idea is to promote women's education by encouraging sportmanship and the game of golf. The Women's Western Golf Foundation is started in the year 1971 by the WWG association. It encourages the participation of women in Golf and helps to provide scholarships to eligible female undergraduate students. The WWF has awarded around $4.2 million scholarship to more than 665 female students across the country. The scholarship is assisting students who are having a financial burden for their academic education. The award amount is provided until the completion of a student's U.G study.
How to Apply for Scholarship?
In order to qualify for a scholarship, a student must demonstrate the financial assistance by submitting the FAFSA application form.
A student must submit their official transcripts of ACT/SAT scorecards to show the academic eligibility.
In addition to that, a student who has outstanding character and leadership skills will be added advantage to receive scholarship funds.
What is the Total Amount Awarded?
The WWGF Scholarship totally awards $10,000 to 15 female high school seniors. The award amount is renewable throughout the student's academic study.
A student must apply for this scholarship before January 10th.
An applicant must be a woman, high-school senior and U.S citizen.
A student should actively participate in the golf sport
Candidates will be selected on the basis of academic achievement, and need for financial assistance.
A student should have a minimum of 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale to be eligible for the scholarship.
A student should be outstanding in character, integrity, and should exhibit their leadership skills.
