About the Scholarship

Young Women's Alliance Higher Education Scholarship is helping the Austin Area women economically to achieve their higher education and career goals. The purpose of this scholarship is to help the female students to cover their tuition costs and other college expenses during their completion of the Community Impact Project. The YWAF is to help and encourage the applicants who demonstrate strong leadership, exceptional academic achievement, and a great commitment to their community. YWAF Higher Education Empowerment Scholarship has awarded $2000 for scholarship award and it is available to the female student who studies at an accredited institution or university of higher education at Texas.


How to Apply for Scholarship?

  • The Scholarship Applications are available online at the Young Women's Alliance Foundation website. All applicants need to fill the form before the given deadline.

  • A student must provide a resume to apply for this fund.

  • In addition to that, an applicant must give official documents or the transcripts of institutions where he/she has studied in.

  • Also, an applicant must give two recommendation letters from his/her professor.

  • An applicant is required to write two essays. one must give information about education and another essay must give details about his/her personal information.

  • In addition to that, an applicant must provide a short bio.

Award Amount and Deadline:

The Organization is funding $3000 to the multiple students who meet the eligibility criteria. The awards are non-renewable.

The official website has not published this year's deadline, hence with respect to the previous deadline date, all applicants should submit their all transcripts before March 1st.


Eligibility Criteria

  • A student must be a female and whose age is under 40.

  • The scholarship is available to women pursuing a graduate degree at a university or accredited institution of higher learning within Central Texas. 

  • A student should demonstrate leadership, commitment to community service, academic achievement, and financial need.

  • A student should show commitment to community service and leadership by dedicating 40 hours to a Community Impact Project.

  • An applicant must not be a prior recipient of a YWAF scholarship.
