About the Scholarship

Youthlinc Utah Young Humanitarian Award is granted and is sponsored by the Youthlinc inc., the association was set up in the year 1999 for making lifetime humanitarians. It is intended to engage in youth effectively in nearby and worldwide compassionate endeavors and give them the leadership skills and experience to begin to make a difference in their communities.

This award was introduced in the year 2005 for providing financial assistance to students who are involved in the human service. A student can make use of this fund to cover their tuition, room, and fees expenses.


How to apply for this scholarship?

  • The students applying for this scholarship program must have been completed their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application to determine their financial position and how much a student's parents are ready to pay.

  • The award is open to high school juniors, seniors, undergraduate students in the state of Utah and those students planning to attend the University of Utah.

  • Students must demonstrate a need for financial assistance to meet eligibility.


Scholarship Amount and Deadline

  • This scholarship provides $5000 annually to one outstanding high school student and one outstanding college student and is a non-renewable fund.

  • A total of 10 awards are offered by this scholarship.

The students are informed to submit their scholarship application and other requirements before the due date, the final date to apply is by the end of March 01, 2020. Applications are available online on the Youthlinc website.


Eligibility Criteria

  • The applicant must be a Utah resident and a U.S. citizen or an eligible noncitizen.

  • The applicant must be a Utah high school junior or senior.

  • The student must be enrolled in an institution for a full-time undergraduate program in Utah.

  • The student should not be a graduate student.
