Sonoran Desert Institute is a private-for-profit Institute which was founded in the year 2000 in Scottsdale, Arizona. The Sonoran Desert Institue offers students degrees in Associate’s in Science in Firearms Technology and a certificate in advance gunsmithing. The Sonoran Desert Institute also provides students with online education programs. The Institute has over 1,000 students enrolled in the fire-arm related programs and courses. In the year 2012, Sonoran Desert Institute was acquired by the Trade Training Company, LLC. In 2014, Sonoran Desert Institute introduced armorer courses as part of its programs. Later, in the year 2018, it was granted a 5-year renewal of accreditation.
