Admission Process at University of Oregon

The admission process at the University of Oregon will take few minutes and is very and smooth. As the University officials respect the time of the students who are taking admissions to the University of Oregon. Admission process in distance learning programs offered by the University of Oregon is available for fresh students who have never associated with the university in past as well as for the students who have studied at the University of Oregon and coming back for further studies through distance learning format.

The admission process at the University of Oregon is divided into three steps - the First one is

  • Checking the schedule for the chosen online distance learning program. As the schedule for each program is slightly different  

            Applicant can search for schedule under subject bar for the particular schedule

  • Apply for online program classes using DuckWeb
  • In order to check for the distance learning program before or at the time of the first term the applicants can use "canvas" 

For login, to DuckWeb the applicant need to have University Id number which is given by university for admission and Personal Access Code (PAC). If there are any issues with PAC or UO ID then the students can contact to the university concerned officials. The DuckWeb website uses some cookies so that applicants need to check their browser for those cookies to be accepted by the applicants' laptop or computer. If the applicant is not using their personal laptop or computer and is using a computer of a cybercafe or public one then they are suggested to log out after the completion of the process."Canvas" -  Canvas portal is designed for the login process using DuckWeb ID and password for the application and profile to be generated at the university's official website.

Credit-Based Learning at University of Oregon

The University of Oregon has provision for students to gain credit form courses without taking an official admission to it. Community Education Program has been designed for the students who have not taken admission into the university. For gaining credit from courses the student needs to check their status using Community Education Program (CEP). This program is for both the format students on-campus and off-campus. Students can grab eight credits per course of any term - fall, spring, summer or winter and slightly more in a summer term. Applicant once completes the eligibility form of CEP in order to get the ID and PAC for login, Registration DuckID should be activated. Due to some rules and restrictions, the university gets applications from some states but not from some of the other states. 

For the students who wanted to continue studies with the University of Oregon need to fill the application again if the applicant has not registered for four or more terms. Office of Registrar is the authorized personnel for the processing of re-submission of form. These all processing need to be done prior the classes are getting started. For any queries and doubts, students will get help from the authorized official that is a registrar.  

The applicants who are former students of the University of Oregon are considered automatically for the distance learning education program. The former students are eligible to take admission into the university using DuckWeb website for further processing. For the fresh students who have no former connection with the University of Oregon need to submit their profile for at least eight credits to get an admission in the university. These eight credits are related to the University level courses so the applicant can submit their application for the distance learning courses.  

Applicants need to register themselves for Community Education program (CEP) Program of the university for their application to be considered for distance learning courses. There are no rules on admission every student can enroll for distance learning program. Regarding the eight credit issue, the student can have it from any term whether it is fall, spring or summer or winter. 

  • Student need to verify their eligibility
  • CEP is only for the students who are new to the university and if applicant does not have a bachelor degree then they are allowed to fill application for undergraduate programs only 
  • Applicant need to have their login details after filling CEP eligibility registration form it will appeal for login ID and Personal Access Code (PAC) 

        Students will get the details about terms after filing this form. Applicants can submit their profile for the terms  and the letter of               verification will be provided by officials as per the below schedule:

 The applicants will get the details of the candidature will not be sent by email but with a postal mail. Time for the delivery will vary as per the candidate's location. The far the applicant resides the more the time postal mail will take.

  •  For CEP students there is no particular program or courses assigned. For the precondition programs or courses, the applicant needs to check with program or course executive or the authorized apartment of distance education for Community Education Program 
  • The University of Oregon has different rules and regulations for each format. Distance Learning Programs also considered some regulations. Students are advised to read them carefully prior taking admission to online classes
  • DuckWeb registration is essential for the applicants as it will be helpful for registration into CEP the timeline is two weeks prior the winter and spring term and two days prior the fall term.
  • Students need to be very attentive before submitting their final application. For any correction, they can do it within the timeframe shown in the academic calendar of the University of Oregon. 
  • Institue level counseling is designed for the applicant which will be performed prior the courses are started. This process includes induction, orientation process, Suggestions prior allocation for making a continuing study process smooth.

The applicant who has applied for CEP previously before the completion of the last four terms. Then, those students need to apply using those credentials only if in case they forgot or have not applied in the last four terms the credential then they need to activate it again.
