The University of South Dakota (USD) is a public open coeducational research college established in 1862 in Vermillion, South Dakota. By the end of 1883 enrolment expanded to 69 Students. In 1889, when South Dakota turned into the 40th state, USD enrolment expanded to 500 understudies.
