Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) is a private not-for-profit, a doctoral institution that was established in the year 1829 as the Athenaeum, an association for cultivating and promoting literature, science, and the arts. The Athenaeum was located in the Reynolds Arcade and a small reading room with a library. In the year 1847, the Athenaeum merged with Mechanics Literature Association and continued the tradition of public lectures, book reviews, and debates. 

In 1903, the institute established five academic departments that included industrial arts, mechanic arts, manual training, domestic science, and fine arts.   • Online Development and Training
    This program is offered by the Walsh University's School of Behavioural and Health Sciences through Walsh's School of Professional Studies.
    • The applicant has to transfer a minimum of 12-semester hour credits from a regionally accredited institution where he/she has maintained at least 2.00 Cumulative Grade Point Average
    • Adult applicants must be 21 or above to enter this program
  • Master's in Arts and Education (MAED)
    • The application form must be completed
    • Official Transcripts of graduation has to be sent from the applicant's college to Walsh University

    • A writing sample has to be given while returning the application booklet. This is required to assess the communication skills of the
      applicant. The writing sample must be completed in one typewritten page.It has been focused on the following topics [1) What characteristics does a successful teacher possess? 2) Why do you consider these characteristics important? 3) The applicant should attach a notarized affidavit of Good Moral Character]
    • The applicant should provide recommendations of three unrelated persons who are qualified to appraise his/her scholastic aptitude, personal and professional behavior
    • Should attend the interview with the Director of Graduate Education in the Division of Education
    • Copy of Teaching License ( If a Licensed Teacher)
  • Masters in Nursing
    • The applicant should submit the application duly filled
    • He/she should possess a current unencumbered Registered Nurse License and one year of experience is preferred
    • The applicant should produce official transcripts of a baccalaureate degree in nursing which should be accredited by a National organization for Nursing Accreditation (ACNE, CCNE or their equivalent). Transcripts must be in English and the credentials evaluated when appropriate. The transcripts should also document a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA on the scale of 4.0 on all undergraduate coursework
    • Applicant should have completed an Undergraduate or Graduate Statistics course.
    • Two professional recommendation letters supporting the applicant's potential for success in the Master's program from graduate prepared nurses or faculty members should be provided. Applicants currently enrolled in any nursing program must submit at least one recommendation letter from the faculty members.
    • Curriculum vitae should be enclosed with your application summarizing all your scholarly skills, work experience, accolades, and awards.
    • A 1000 word essay which will serve as the basis for admission interview with the faculty and will be reviewed for the writing style and content. The essay must have reasons for seeking advanced education in the MSN program at this time in your career, Academic and career goals and how the MSN education will help you realize those goals, personal and professional attributes that will contribute to your success in the program, the essay should be typed in APA format and it will be evaluated both on the basis of writing and the balance between the stated goals and the program
    • Upon completion, the applicants who meet above requirements will be called upon for an interview with the Graduate Nursing Admission Committee
