About the Scholarship

This Scholarship is awarded by the Florida Department of Education, Office of Student Financial Assistance. The student who is applying for this scholarship must be Florida residents for at least a year and first-time undergraduate students enrolled in degree programs (except theology or divinity degrees). 


How to apply for the scholarship:

  • The applicants must submit a FAFSA certificate.

  • Applicants are available online on the official website.

  • Applicants have to submit their academic certificate.

  • The applicants have to submit their CAT/SAT scorecard.

  • This award is given by OFSA.


The amount awarded for the Scholarship:

  • The amount awarded for this scholarship is $15,00 per each semester up to 9 semesters or up to 14 quarters.

  • The number of awards given to the applicants in a year varies and it depends on eligible candidates applying for the scholarship and fund with the organization.

Eligibility Criteria

  • An applicant must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.0 out of 4 to be eligible for this scholarship.

  • A student must have enrolled for a minimum of 12 credit hours per term in an eligible Florida university.
