About the Scholarship

First-generation U.S. citizens, refugees, or immigrants who are residents of Wake County in North Carolina and have completed one or more academic years at a Wake County high school are eligible for this award. The student must have a grade point average of 2.5 or higher and enroll full time at a postsecondary institution in North Carolina. Eligibility Criteria

This award is for U.S. students. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. Applicants must be first-generation U.S. citizens, refugees, or immigrants (legal documentation is not required). Must be a graduating high school senior to apply for this freshman year award. Must have a grade point average of 2.5 or higher. Must enroll full time in a two- or four-year degree program. Must plan to attend an accredited public, private, or technical college or university in the state of North Carolina.
