About the Scholarship

AFCEA ROTC Scholarship is accredited by the Armed Forces Communications & Electronics Association (AFCEA) Educational Foundation. The foundation is a non-profit organization that provides a forum for military, government and industry communities to collaborate so that technology and strategy align with the needs of those who serve.

AFCEA ROTC Scholarship is provided to those students who show good moral character, demonstrate academic excellence and potential to serve as officers in the U.S. Armed Forces, and have financial need.


What are the requirements needed while applying for this scholarship?

  • Students must submit their current transcripts that may be official copy issued by the school Registrar's Office or unofficial copy verified by the applicant's ROTC unit.

  • A minimum of two letters of recommendation is required from faculty in the major of study.

  • Letter of Nomination from ROTC unit Professor of Military Science, Professor of Naval Science, Professor of Aerospace Studies or designed Commanding Officer.

  • The candidates are instructed to exhibit their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application to get this honor.


AFCEA ROTC Scholarship award amounts to

  • This scholarship award ranges from $2000 to $3000 annually which is non-renewable.

  • The total number of awards offered by this scholarship varies each year based on the availability of funds and students meeting their requirements.


Deadline information

The applications are to be exhibited before the finish of April 10, 2020. Understudies are educated to display their award application, and different necessities are to be submitted before the due date. Applications and other data are open online on the Armed Forces Communications & Electronics Association (AFCEA) Educational Foundation website.


Eligibility Criteria

  • Students must be a U.S citizen.

  • Candidates must be a full-time student attending an accredited degree-granting four-year college or university.

  • Must be enrolled in ROTC.

  • Must acquire a grade point of 3.0 or higher.
