About the Scholarship

U.S. graduating high school seniors or current undergraduate students who are current residents of public housing are eligible for this award. Students must have a grade point average of 2.5 or higher and demonstrate community leadership. Application requirements for the AIMCO Cares Scholarship are:Application form

Eligibility Criteria

This award is for U.S. students. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. Must be a graduating high school senior or older to apply for this undergraduate award. Must be a current resident of affordable housing, meaning the resident family must have been income qualified to move onto the property or is receiving rental assistance through a recognized Federal housing program (Section 8, Rent Supplement, Rental Assistance Payments, or Low Income Housing Tax Credit program). Must enroll in three or more classes. Must demonstrate community leadership through volunteer work at school or in the community.
