About the Scholarship

The scholarship is awarded by the National Business Aviation Association, Inc. to benefit undergraduates pursuing careers in business aviation management. This scholarship is one of the several scholarships offered by NBAA to promote professional development and business aviation careers. The scholarship was created to honor the memory of Al Conklin, a U.S. Air Force veteran and business aviation leader for more than 60 years.


How to apply for the scholarship?

  • The applicant must complete the application which can be found on the National Business Aviation Inc. site. 

  • Along with the application, the applicant should also submit a 500 word, essay describing his/her career goals in business aviation.

  • Official academic transcripts, a resume, two recommendation letters from those who are related to business aviation, and FAFSA. 

How much the scholarship award amounts to?

  • The award amounts to $5,000 per year and is non-renewable.

  • One award is offered per year.

Deadline Information

The deadline date is set for July 26

Eligibility Criteria

  • A scholarship is awarded to a student who is officially enrolled in an aviation program at a University Aviation Association member school.

  • An applicant must be a permanent resident of the United States.
