About the Scholarship

The American Board of Funeral Service Education National Scholarship Program was established in 1960 for providing a financial award to the student who is pursuing their career in funeral service or mortuary science programs.

This scholarship program managed by the American Board of Funeral Education and its committee held twice in a year that is on April and October.

How to apply for this Scholarship:

  • Must be a citizen of the United State.

  • The student must have completed 1 semester under American board service program  of funeral or mortuary science 

  • Must have at least one semester after the commencement date of the American Board of funeral service education that is on April or September, which will benefit the student to get full awards.

  • The online Scholarship form must be submitted online.

  • After submitting your application you will get a confirmation letter, keep print of that.

  • Produce the confirmation letter along with recommendation letter and transcript through mail as supporting documents.

  • Submit all the documents along with application confirmation form febore the deadline of the application date.

How much will be the Scholarship amount to?

  • The American Board of Funeral Service Education scholarship award amount is $15,00 to $25,00.

  • It should be claimed once in an academic year.

  • This award can directly go to the student's tuition fees after certification of enrollment received by the college board.

  • 3 student can get this award in a year through competition among a large number of students.

Deadline of American Board of Funeral Service Education Service

The deadline of the Amer4ican Board of Funeral Service Education scholarship is March 1st or September 1st.

This scholarship award will disqualify if all the documents will not reach to the committee prior to the deadline date.

Eligibility Criteria

  • An applicant must be an officially recognized resident of the USA.

  • A student should have at least one semester remaining in their course program that will be commenced after the award date.

  • An individual must have completed one semester of study in a program relating to the funeral service from an institution accredited by the American Board of Funeral Service Education.
