About the Scholarship
The scholarship is awarded by the Community Foundation of North Central Washington, a tax-exempt organization that helps individuals, families, businesses, and agencies support charitable causes throughout Chelan, Douglas, and Okanogan counties. Through their Community Grants Program, nonprofit organizations can apply for financial support to continue the important work that enhances our communities. The grant selection is based on factors including academic achievements, and recommendations. Preference is given to students who are active members of IBEW Local 77 (child or grandchild) and are eligible regardless of financial need.
How to apply for the scholarship?
Interested applicants must first create an account on the Community Foundation of NCW online site and complete the eligibility quiz. Only then applicants will be able to access the individual applications for any eligible scholarships.
Along with the application, the applicants should submit their academic transcripts, EFC (expected family contribution) from their SAR (Student Aid Report), two reference contacts information, and FAFSA.
How much the scholarship award amounts to?
The award amounts to $2,000 yearly and is non-renewable.
One scholarship will be provided per year.
The deadline date is set for March 1
The applicant must be a graduating senior in the state of Washington
Preference is given to applicants who are active members of IBEW Local 77 or a child or grandchild of an active IBEW Local 77 member with verifiable documentation
Applicant must be accepted into an accredited college, university or trade school in USA
