About the Scholarship

The Southern California Chapter of APWA has established in 1997 for benefiting students who live in or attend school in the Southern California region. This Scholarship is given to those students who are willing to do highschool study. And those people have to commit to 4-hours to promote APWA, serve the community and advocate Scholarship Program.


How to apply for the Scholarship?

  • The candidates can find their application online at the website of the Southern California Chapter of the American Public Works Association (APWA). 

  • Submit a copy of a current undergraduate transcript.

  • Submit 2 recommendation letters, one from the faculty member of the current school and the other is from his/her family member.

  • Submit responses to all sections of the scholarship questionnaire, including an essay of 200 to 400 words.

  • Candidate has to save that application form with all the certificate he/she provides with the name o fAPWA2018.pdf.

  • Candidate has to submit the application form attached with all needed documents before the deadline of the Scholarship date.


Amount Awarded for this Scholarship:

  • The awarded amount of this Scholarship is $500 to $25,00.

  • This Scholarship is non-renewable

  • Those students can apply who already applied in the previous year.



Deadline for the Scholarship:

The deadline for the Scholarship is 19th of April.


Eligibility Criteria

  • An applicant must a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or above out of 5 to be eligible for the scholarship.

  • An applicant must be a current high school senior and a full-time UG student.

  • A student must major in public works related to Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Technical Trade, and many more.

  • A student must be committed to promoting APWA for at least 4 hours.
