About the Scholarship
The scholarship is awarded by the Community Foundation of North Central Washington, a tax-exempt organization that helps individuals, families, businesses, and agencies support charitable causes throughout Chelan, Douglas, and Okanogan counties. Through their Community Grants Program, nonprofit organizations can apply for financial support to continue the important work that enhances our communities. This grant graduating seniors pursuing a teaching certificate. The candidate selection will be done based on factors including academic achievements, recommendations, and financial need.
How to apply for the scholarship?
Interested applicants must first create an account on the Community Foundation of NCW online site and complete the eligibility quiz. Only then applicants will be able to access the individual applications for any eligible scholarships.
Along with the application, the applicants should submit their academic transcripts, EFC (expected family contribution) from their SAR (Student Aid Report), two reference contacts information, and FAFSA.
How much the scholarship award amounts to?
The award amounts to $2,500 yearly and is renewable, but the renewal is not guaranteed.
One scholarship will be provided per year.
The deadline date is set for March 1
The applicant must be a current student graduating from Wenatchee Valley College
Enrolled at a 4-year college or university
Pursuing studies that lead to a teaching certificate with preference given to students majoring in English
