About the Scholarship

The "ASCE (Maine Section) Scholarship" award is provided by the team or organization 'American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Maine Section'. This scholarship is to study civil engineering for two or four years of college undergraduate study for any accredited college. It provides assistance to financially needy students who are seeking education beyond the secondary level.


How to apply for the scholarship?

  • Applications are available on the official website 'American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Maine Section' and all the applicants must access the online application in order to apply for this scholarship.

  • Applicant must have to submit FAFSA certificate.
  • A student must submit the Official scorecards of ACT/SAT to demonstrate the completion of the graduation semester as well as academic performance.

  • A student must also submit two reference letter from the high school teacher and one from community member but he must not be from his school.

  • In addition to that applicant must write and submit and an essay on why he/she choose his/her career as a civil engineer.

  • He/she has to submit a high school transcript from each attended.


    The awarded amount for the scholarship:

    The amount awarded for this scholarship is $2000 per year and is non-renewable. The number of awards given to the eligible candidates is two.


    Deadline for the scholarship:

    The deadline for this scholarship is the 31st of January 2020.


Eligibility Criteria

The applicant must reside at Maine.

He/she must reside at Maine.

He/she should be a Maine high school senior or older and they can apply for this undergraduate and graduate award.

he/she must be a U.S. citizen.

He/she must be joined or planned to join Civil Engineering.
