About the Scholarship

The scholarship is awarded by the Landscape Architecture Foundation. An organization that provides leadership and resources to empower landscape architects to use their unique skills to change the world. Their mission is to support the preservation, and improvement of the environment. This scholarship was established by the ASLA Council of Fellows to aid outstanding students who, due to financial need, cannot complete their professional degree program. They also aim to promote the profession of landscape architecture through the financially disadvantaged and diverse population. 


How to apply for the scholarship?

  • The applicant should complete the application, which can be found on the LAF site.

  • Along with the application, the applicant must submit an essay, in maximum 500 words, describing how you envision yourself contributing t the profession of landscape architecture.

  • A photo, personal bio (background, current educational pursuits, future plans), a resume, financial aid form, two recommendation letters, and FAFSA should also be submitted

  • Applicants seeking special consideration for the diversity scholarship should indicate so on the last question of the General Submission Form.


How much the scholarship award amounts to?

The award amounts to $5000

Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicants must attend a university or a four-year college.

  • The applicant must be a US citizen.

  • The applicant must not be attending high school currently.

  • The applicant must both full-time and part-time students.
