About the Scholarship
This award is for U.S. female sophomore and junior students of African descent who are enrolled full time in an English, literature, journalism or related area of study at a Historically Black college or university. Students must have a grade point average of 2.5 or better and submit a 800-word essay on the topic the power of the written word. Eligibility Criteria
This award is for U.S. students. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. Must be a current college sophomore or junior. Must enroll full time. Must major in English, literature, journalism or a related area of study at a Historically Black college or university. Must have a grade point average of 2.5 or higher. Must be a female.
