About the Scholarship
ATHENA Adult Scholarship is licensed by The Chamber Foundation, Inc. The Chamber Foundation, Inc., was set up to promote instruction and training programs for territory youth and experts to upgrade the future of financial development in the Hudson Valley locale. The ATHENA Adult Scholarship was set up by The Chamber Foundation to encourage expanded career opportunities for women in our locale. This grant is accessible to any female Dutchess County inhabitant, who works or volunteers in Dutchess County, has graduated secondary school or its equivalent, or graduated school and been out of school for at least five years, and is pursuing education at an certified New York State school, college or exchange school or through a certified online instructive program.
How to apply for this scholarship?
The applicants must have completed their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application to apply for this scholarship.
Must prepare an essay (not to exceed 500 words) discussing how a specific woman (other than a relative) has influenced your life.
Two current letters of recommendation from employers, clergy or persons other than family members who are familiar with your skills and abilities. These letters must have been written within the last six months.
ATHENA Adult Scholarship award amounts
- This scholarship award amount ranges from $1,000 - $2,000 annually which is non-renewable.
- The number of awards offered by this scholarship varies depending on the number of students available and the availability of funds.
The applications are to be submitted by the end of April 01, 2020 with all the attachments and required applications. Applications and related information are available on the Chamber Foundation, Inc. website.
This scholarship is available to any female Dutchess County resident who works or volunteers in Dutchess County.
Pursuing education at an accredited New York State College, University or trade school or through an accredited online educational program based in New York
