About the Scholarship
Betty Rendel Scholarship was started by the National Federation of Republican Women to honor the former NFEW Betty Randel in the year 1995. The institution is considered to be one of the largest political organization in the United States.
The applicants who apply for this scholarship can be selected from all region of the country and is open to women who have completed university courses for at least two years. The main motive behind the scholarship is to provide the necessary financial assistance to students to help them pursue the education of their dream. The students can make use of this award to cover their academic expenses like tuition, books, and college fees.
How to apply for this scholarship?
Students must start by filling up an application form that can be found on the official website of the organization.
- It is also important that a student complete their FAFSA application process to determine their family's current financial position to pay for their education.
Applicants are required to bring three letters of recommendation, including telephone numbers/emails of authors for follow-up.
In addition, a candidate must also submit an official copy of the most recent college transcript and an essay on the topic that why they should be considered for this award.
The student must also carry a State Federation President Certification.
Scholarship Award Amount
The Scholarship provides three annual scholarships of $1000 non-renewable award for undergraduate college women who are pursuing an education in political science, government or economics majors.
The application is accepted from all across the nation. The applicants can only apply for one NFRW scholarship per year and holders cannot apply again.
All the relevant documents and forms must be submitted to the financial aid department of the institution no later than June 1 to be one among 3 deserving candidates to receive the scholarship amount.
An applicant must be a female candidate to avail the scholarship benefits.
A student must be a legally recognized citizen of the United States.
The applicants must be majoring in political science, government, economics, or any related fields.
A candidate must have successfully completed two years or more of college coursework at the time of application.
