About the Scholarship

Graduate students who show an interest in pursuing a career in advocacy through public affairs, lobbying or government relations and are attending or planning to attend one of the foundation's participating universities (or attend a non-participating university and receive special permission from the foundation) are eligible to apply for this award. Students must work on a full-time (40 hours per week) basis. The average recipient of this award has a 3.67 grade point average. Eligibility Criteria

This award is for U.S. students. Must be a U.S. citizen. Must show an interest in pursuing a career in advocacy through public affairs, lobbying or government relations. Must be accepted or currently enrolled in a graduate program. Must plan to enroll or be enrolled on a part-time basis in an eligible graduate program. Please note: Students who are enrolled full time may apply but MUST also be working full time. Must be employed on a full-time basis (40 hours or more per week). The average grade point average of recipients is 3.67. Must attend or plan to attend one of the participating universities: American University, the Catholic University of America, George Mason University, Georgetown University, George Washington University, Howard University, The Johns Hopkins University, and the University of Maryland.
