About the Scholarship

The Texas Department of Family and Protective Services offers two C. Ed Davis PAL Scholarships for youth who aged out or were legally emancipated of the DFPS foster care. Applicants must major in law, government, political science, history or pre law. Application requirements for the C. Ed Davis PAL Scholarship are:No application requirements for this scholarship

Eligibility Criteria

Must be aged-out of DFPS foster care or was legally emancipated. Must have a minimum GPA of 2.0 and in good academic standing. Must demonstrate a need for financial assistance with higher education. Must be attending or enrolled in a Texas college or university. Must be majoring in government, political science, history, or other pre-law field. Must be enrolled as a full-time (12 hours) sophomore, junior, and senior student or in law school. Must be between the ages of 18 - 25 to “activate" the scholarship.
