About the Scholarship
The scholarship is awarded by the Community Foundation of North Central Washington, a tax-exempt organization that helps individuals, families, businesses, and agencies support charitable causes throughout Chelan, Douglas, and Okanogan counties. Through their Community Grants Program, nonprofit organizations can apply for financial support to continue the important work that enhances our communities. With this grant, they wish to assist an aspiring high school senior in pursuit of a college education at Wenatchee Valley College. Candidate selections will be done based on a combination of academic achievements, contribution to the community, and financial need.
How to apply for the scholarship?
Interested applicants must first create an account on the Community Foundation of NCW online site and complete the eligibility quiz. Only then applicants will be able to access the individual applications for any eligible scholarships.
Along with the application, the applicants should submit their academic transcripts, EFC (expected family contribution) from their SAR (Student Aid Report), two reference contacts information, and FAFSA.
How much the scholarship award amounts to?
The award amounts to $1,000 yearly and is non-renewable.
One scholarship will be provided per year.
The deadline date is set for April 1
The applicant should be a graduating senior of Cashmere, Eastmont, River Academy, Wenatchee or Westside High Schools or a homeschooled student from those districts
Will attend Wenatchee Valley College as a full-time student
Should have a minimum of 2.0 GPA
