About the Scholarship

Caroline E. Holt Nursing Scholarship is assisting the students who are in a great financial need and who have been accepted or currently enrolled in an accredited school of nursing. A student should have good academic results as per the financial aid rules, and he/she must be involved in extra-curricular and community services. 


How to Apply?

  • A student should fill and submit the online application form in order to apply for this award, the scholarship application is available on the official website. All students must access the form to apply for this award.

  • A personal statement of 1,000 words or less setting indicating his/her career objectives.

  • An applicant must provide a recent copy of high school transcript or college which indicates a student's current college enrollment.

  • A student is also required to provide official transcripts of the ACT/SAT test score.

  • In addition to that, an applicant must provide financial need information and a letter of acceptance from a faculty member indicating the applicant is in a nursing program

  • Additionally, he/she must give Proof of United States citizenship.

  • A student should provide the information listing extra-curricular activities, honors received, and scholastic achievements. 

  • Also, A statement of 100 words or less why you would be a worthy candidate to receive a DAR Scholarship.


Award Amount and Deadline:

The scholarship funding awards $2500 to three applicants annually.

The scholarship deadline is on 15th February 2020. All applicants must apply for this fund no later than the deadline.


Eligibility Criteria

  • The applicant must demonstrate financial need.

  • The applicant must be enrolled in an accredited university or college of nursing.

  • The applicant must submit a letter of acceptance or a transcript into a nursing program.
